Birds Of Our Own ---------------- Heres a story about a bunch of birds. They live in a house of birches and thorns. They were mutantly modified by an alien ray. Thier chromosomes are spliced with alien mice. The birds band together in a mighty flock. According to thier charter they are the Squawks. The Squawks formed together to fight sun burn. Thier only dilema is what to do. [Chorus] Around the hall of chirps. Great statues loom. Birds of ages past. Still held in awe. We are and they are. Birds of great justice. Birds of the Squawk. Birds of our own. [End Chorus] It is an ordinary day out on the beach. The children are playing out in the surf. They are having fun in thier ingorant bliss. Little do they know that they are in danger. Squawk comes upon the scene and saves the day. Handing out pamphlets to all of the youngsters. They hold seminars on SPF, UVA, and melatonin. Saying "Stay in the shade and apply sunscreen." [Chorus] The agents of Squawk have saved us from UV-Rays. The parents of the beach are not appreciative though. They stone the birds. The children flee. The parents misunderstand their benign intent. Several of Squawks numbers down they return. The trainees and birds on the DL errect statues. We hold a slient prayer for those we have lost. But thier spirt lives on. And so does Squawk.
